WHO WE ARE
Coastal Golf Co is the trading name of Stuart Horne, a sole trader, and is responsible for the information you give us. It is a golf club repair and care service based in Cranleigh, covering Cranleigh down to the West Sussex coast. WHAT WE COLLECT
When you book or get in touch, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, collection postcode and address, and details about your clubs and what they need. We only collect what we need to look after your clubs.
WHY WE USE IT
To arrange collection and delivery, do the work you've asked for, keep you updated, and invoice you. We rely on this being necessary to provide the service you've requested. We will never sell your details, and we won't send you marketing unless you've asked us to.
HOW IT REACHES US
The booking form opens an email or WhatsApp message on your own device, which you then send to us. Your details go straight to our inbox or phone; nothing is stored by this website. Email and WhatsApp messages are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep booking details while we're working on your clubs and for as long as we need them for our records. Invoices and payment records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires. After that they're deleted.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies (named _ga) that last up to two years and doesn't identify you by name. Nothing is set unless you choose Accept on the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We don't use advertising cookies. The site is hosted by GitHub, which keeps basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the service running securely.
VISIT COUNTER
We also count visits with our own simple counter, so we know how many people use the site. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page you looked at, how long you spent on it, the website that sent you here (if any) and your type of device and browser. To count each visitor once a day without identifying anyone, your IP address is scrambled together with the date and a secret key, so it can't be traced back to you or used to follow you from one day to the next, and your IP address itself is never stored. The counts are kept by Dunnworks, who run this website for us, and are only used to improve the site.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
